Brrr, Weewoo, mhm, okay let’s do this…

Sooo, I find myself scouring my followed blogs today, as I normally do all day every day and I come across Holly from Nut Free Nerd’s Readers Confession Tag post, and I was like , I need to do this tag. Its looked like a lot of fun and I haven’t done a tag on my blog yet, so here I am doing my first tag! Yay!

Let’s get started…

Have you ever damaged a book?

As painful as it is to admit yes I have, I know I am disappointed in myself as well. But hey, overstuffed school bags and paperbacks don’t mix, just saying.

Have you ever damaged a borrowed book?

Nope, I can safely say I have never damaged a borrowed book. Simply because I turn into a raving lunatic when someone damages one of my books, so fair is fair.

How long Does it take you to read a book?

Look how pretty!

For me it really depend on how much I am enjoying the book I am reading. For instance I read The Sun is also Star by Nicola Yoon in one sitting but it took me a week to finish Grave Mercy by Robin LaFevers. They have a very similar amount of pages but the difference in time it took me to read them is quite large.

Books that you haven’t finished?

This one is a bit a tricky one for me as I have a habit of forcing myself to finish books even when I am not enjoying them in the hope that they will improve. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t 🙂 So the only time I don’t finish a book when I start is when I put it aside for another book that I am more interested in at that time. But I will pick it up again and finish it at some point.

Hyped/ Popular book you didn’t like.

I have one definite answer for this and that is the Game of Thrones Books, or should I say book because I couldn’t even get through the first one. I really struggled with this one, I wanted to love it, I really did. But it was sooo long! Now don’t get me wrong I love long books, but I felt like it was dragged out and the chapters between characters were so long that I forgot who was who, and what happened to who and why I should care. So yeah, I’ll give this series a pass. But I love the TV show and am chomping at the bit for the new season.

Is there a book that you wouldn’t tell anyone you were reading?

I am pretty open about what I read, but when it come to my guilty pleasures such as MC romances and paranormal romance I tend to broadcast that less. For example when I am reading one of my guilty pleasures, I won’t put it as currently reading on Goodreads and I wouldn’t post a review on it, not because I am embarrassed but simply because I enjoy reading them without having to  think critically about every aspect as I would with my other reads.

How many books do you own?

Not as many as I like because I only started my book collection at the beginning of this year and I am still working on expanding it. But I still own more than is realistic, space wise.

Are you a fast or slow reader?

I am most definitely a fast reader, I tend on average to reader around 2-3 books a week, so you can do the math 🙂 Another reason as to why I am expanding my book collection, so I can keep up with my reading pace.

Do you like to buddy read?

I don’t really know because I haven’t done it 🙂

Do you read better in your head or out loud?

In my head, definitely in my head. It is faster, It makes envisioning the world and characters easier and it is more appropriate for public spaces-> where I do most of my reading 🙂

If you were only allowed to own one book, what would it be and why?

Man! How am I supposed to choose, it’s like picking a favourite child! I think I will have to go for the Sun is also a Star by Nicola Yoon, simply because I can see myself rereading this book many, many, many times in the future. So it would be well loved instead of left on a very empty shelf.

An that is it! I had so much fun doing this tag, and I will definitely be doing more of these in the future 🙂

I hope you have had a lovely week so far and have been reading up a storm.

Tootles Gaby 🙂
